The Japanese Garden is a great little visit for some culture in far west suburbia. I think 30-60 min max is all you need to enjoy it. During the spring there is a great horned owl that usually has owlettes in the spring. Bring some...More

You'll have to see the Garden during the summer, it's phenomenal. Thank you so much for your visit... I'll have to keep an eye out for that particularly welcoming tree!

The Fabyan Japanese Garden is one of many enjoyable side trips when walking (or biking) along the Fox River. The garden is meticulously maintained and is worth the voluntary admission fee anytime it's open. Depending on the time of year, you may see flowers, frogs,...More

Stunning Japanese Gardens and surrounding garden areas are perfect for a leisurely walk or other outdoor activities. Tour of the mansion is especially interesting and is free. Nice for a Saturday or Sunday outing.

I take visiting guest to this and everyone loves it, even if they are not Master Gardeners! The Villa is so interesting, as was Fabyan.

The Forest Preserve is 235 acres. That's the best I can do. Try calling the Geneva Parks Dept. Maybe they can help.

According to MapQuest it's 0.81 miles. It might be a nice walk if the weather is good or it certainly wouldn't cost much to take a cab. I hope that helps!
