Beautiful beach but the access was kinda hard !
We had to park the car all the way up and walk till the beach !
In august the huge waves make it hard to swim and the sea is not calm.
The beach has showers and several taverns and small shops around

The village itself is beautiful and suitable for romantic walk but the beach it’s not something that can impress. Good for walking around but too uncomfortable for laying on the beach, the umbrella sets are on doubled price when compare to other villages and it’s popular only because of the Mamma mia scenes. Good location for photos.

The area is something of incredible beauty. a few traditional houses, souvenir shops inside them, a lemon plantation in the courtyard of the house, a small and charming, rustic harbor with terraces on the water's edge, quality restaurants, good food. in the second bay, where you can swim and there is also a beach area, you will see water of a color that you rarely see...white stones on the beach, crystal clear water, full of fish if you snorkel...o unique area

A beautiful place, great cafe there. Just head down the stone steps. The ideal place to sit and read a book with a coffee or a beer and let the world drift by you.

The nicest family run the cafe, restaurant and hotel too!

Damouchari beach (means for the joy of love from the French "d' amour") is a natural, small harbor situated on the Eastern coast of Pelion.
This small bay is an ideal choice for swimming in crystal clear waters away from crowded beaches.
There is no beach bar so take all you need (unbrellas, chaise longues e.t.c.) but there is a tavern and a coffee shop. The beach is covered with pebbles and coarsed sand.

Several scenes of "Mama Mia" movie with Meryl Streep and Colin Firth were shot in Damouchari beach and is called Mama Mia beach ever since....

This beach was used to film Meryl Strip jump in Mamma Mia movie :)
The beach is self is very beautiful, it has part were you can put you towels without renting sunbeds.
Also you have few restaurants on the way to the beach.
In season it can be crowded so come early, since the sun comes done earlier since this is east side.

This is the loveliest place.
Down a very steep road, and then a steep path - you eventually get to a little haven of a place. No more than a handful of tavernas, and a couple of small hotels (including the excellent Damouchari Hotel).
Beach is sandy at the near end, and slightly sheltered.

Damouchari beach is certainly picturesque, however it is in quite a small cove, surrounded by rocks. The beach itself is very pebbly so you need beach shoes. It also becomes very shady in the early afternoon due to the surrounding cliffs.
One last point, far too many stray dogs who come and pester you, and of course leave their poo on the beach.

A really nice beach with a couple of lovely tavernas - 1 serving drinks the other food. Pebbly so you need beach mats & beach shoes. Very clean & definitely worth a visit.

Amazing beach. Picturesque landscape, crystal clear water with many small coves, rock for jumping and small caves to dive or swim at. Great for swimming - for kids and adults. Good facilities and nice bar & restaurant. Walking distance to the village and the old port. We liked this beach more than Mylopotamos - it offers wilder views, tranquil atmosphere and it much less crowded. A MUST visit when in Pelion!
