Always welcoming and knowledgeable help on arrival (what else would you expect of employees who are students of Northwestern)? Don't pass this place up! Take time to experience as well as educate yourself to their exhibits; it's worth your time.

We often pass this museum on walks near Northwestern. Stopped in yesterday; between shows, but had a fascinating collection of image and video by Algerian artist Kader Attia, "Reflecting Memory". Explored impact of colonialism and terrorism, using metaphor of lost limb pain, and with a lot of footage of those afflicted with this condition. Might not be there if you... More

The Block museum on the Northwestern University campus has a few well curated exhibits every year, ranging from Avant-Garde paintings to collage and sculptural work to historical photo exhibitions featuring artists , dead and alive, from across the globe. One never knows what to expect next, but it is always an interesting multimedia experience that can be viewed in 1... More

The Block is one of those little gems that took us years to find but now we go often. They always have interesting exhibits of artists and movements not found anywhere else. My favorite is the annual MFA Thesis Show--it will give your art brain something to chew on for a few weeks...months.

Thanks so much! We are so glad you are able to join us to think through large ideas in our small space! With three galleries of always-changing exhibitions, we are thrilled to be able to take on new artists and new challenges every season. We can't wait to share what 2017 has in store. More

A museum worth a few minutes. Changing shows so most of what you would go for will evolve. We enjoyed our time there.

Really interesting Iranian poster and Chinese photographer exhibits. Near the new visitor center and the beautiful campus. Well worth the trip if you are near Evanston.

Our dear friend had curated this exhibit and we were very anxious to see her work. The museum was very nice & the staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely something to see.

If you are strolling in Evanston definitely stop by the museum. The exhibits are free and always very interesting. Some exhibits are avant Garde, others are very simple. There is something for everyone to appreciate.

This is a truly wonderful little campus art museum. While I recently went here with a friend and didn't care for the exhibit, it was the exhibit and not the museum itself. The museum is set up nicely and easily accessible. It is a bit of a walk from the parking lot if you are elderly or disabled. Love that... More
