Docents are very knowledgeable about the property. Home is kept in great condition with many period furnishings. Not good for people with walkers or wheelchairs. Lots of stairs.

I had a very nice time learning about the history of barbed wire. I never realized there was so many different kinds. I did not tour the house part, just the exhibit. The lady working there was very nice and informative.

A fascinating look at how the wealthy lived in Illinois. The family history and furnishing are all kept intact and are explained by highly trained docents who impart not only the family history but also the important role of Barb wire and 'oil' which built...More
