We were fortunate to have remarkably clear weather. There is no charge, but timing your arrival requires some forethought. While it is free to reach the 96th floor of the Signature Lounge (Hancock Building), know that most drinks have lots of ice for $17.50 each....More

Lovely visit with a beautiful G&T with Ginger. A new addition to our future cocktail diary. Great ambiance and a beautiful stop in Chicago.

This was an excellent place! Drinks were good and service was good. The view was amazing. There’s no dress code and we met locals and tourists while there. We stopped in on a Wednesday around 5 when we were heading to the airport. It was...More

We came at 9PM on a weekday in December. There was a 15-minute wait for a table for 2 at the window. The drinks were great, food also good and the view incredible. There's even a view from the women's bathroom! Total experience was quite...More

Group of 4 of us (now all retired) decided to spend an overnight in Chicago during midweek. Having always gone on a weekend, everywhere was always a crowded atmosphere. We got to the top in the early afternoon on a Wednesday and Lo & behold..........took...More

No reservations are needed for the Signature Lounge - so you might experience a wait. We went right at 11am when they opened and we could have been seated immediately but chose to wait for a window table. This is basically the bar and you...More

Yes this is a touristy thing to do, but it was nice. It was not crowded when we went but it was starting to fill up with the after dinner crowd. Drinks are pricey but you go, you have a drink, you snap a few...More

Amazing cocktails, bartenders were very professional and of course the view of the whole city at night makes this place extraordinary.

This place was PACKED around 5:30 but clearing out by 7:00. Great night views of the city, but everyone tends to stop by before dinner to grab a drink. When we got there, the line for a table (and the bar) was about a 15...More

Okay, so we couldn't figure out how to get to the observation deck we'd read about on TripAdvisor, didn't have much time, and just followed the crowd to the elevator, where we ended up on the 9th floor at the lounge. Our whole reason for...More

Magnificent Mile
Over 400 stores pack the concrete along Michigan
Avenue, the eight-block stretch known as Magnificent
Mile. This area between Oak Avenue and the Chicago
River is more a shopping paradise than a full-out
neighborhood. For prime upscale shopping, this is the
place to go. It’s busy, energetic, and packed with
shoppers. You'll also find hundreds of restaurants and
dozens of hotels, all on the mid- to high-end scale.

When you say if it is necessary for everyone to drink, I assume you mean alcohol. No one is ever required to drink alcohol anywhere in the US. Lots of drink options that are non-alcoholic are on the menu - just pricey, but... More

We were in the lounge at night time. It is kind of a happening place, so I doubt it closes early.
