Wonderful event. Been to this event a number of times, and look forward to it, parking is at a premium, many times $25 for the event, but if you don't mind walking, you can get better deals, and could park on many of the streets...More

If you're interested in books, this is the place to be during the Book Fair. Dozens of knowledgeable booksellers (yes, there are still some to be found) who have great books and caring staff. Printer's Row is the old area of Chicago where printers once...More

On vacation with my husband and was hoping to buy a few bottles of wine for our hotel room, which was just down the street. The vibe in this place was incredibly uncomfortable. The older man behind the counter was straight out rude and it...More

I love this little oasis just south of downtown. The cool old industrial buildings full of character have been converted to lofts. The neighborhood has a very intimate feel due to its small clearly defined area. It has a cute little park with a fountain...More

One bookshop, admittedly a good one, and a few attractive, gentrified industrial buildings along a very quiet street. Not worth making an effort to get here unless there’s a special event happening.

This area is a bit run-down. Somehow it reminds people of what the old times were like when the printing business was thriving. Chicago is not only for finance or tourism, there were and still are lots of different trades going on. Of course, the...More

Downtown / The Loop
Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and
flavor. This central business district boasts
Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of
Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
