I LOVE this spot! Leave your coat at the door and wander into a verdant paradise of world wonders and curious plants. I'd recommend it as a must-see. 110 years old, it's a piece of Chicago history. Walk through time for two adults is about an hour+\-.

Visit the zoo and head over to the Conservatory to view the beautiful arrangements of poinsettias. I think it's free. Lovely.

The Garfield Park Conservatory is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the city. The gardens are huge and have many different climates. Entry is free (a donation is suggested), as is parking. It is easily accessible by public transit and definitely worth a visit, especially during the cold days of winter!

Well worth the short trip outside of the city proper. Absolutely spectacular. Room upon room of glorious plants and their friendly caretakers. Free with suggested donation.

Christmas trees hanging from the ceiling. Hundreds of poinsettias in every color imaginable displayed. Multiple rooms with meticulous displays of thousands of plants. Don't miss the Chuhuily display in the koi pond. Free admission. L train stop is very close.

The conservatory is an excellent place to visit and take n the beauty that is everywhere you look. The diversity of the plants and trees is amazing. The kids garden is a wonderful place for kids to run around and learn about plants. I have taken my kids here many times and we enjoy each visit.

Garfield Park Conservatory is gorgeous year round. It's a great escape (with free parking and nearby public transportation) from the cold winter and a fun trip in the warmer months. The desert room is my favorite, but I love it all. They have seasonal exhibits, so there's something new almost every time you go.

Garfield park conservatory is the perfect outing needed with family and friends. Free parking and free entry makes it even better. The winter blues go away inside as greenery is everywhere. The holiday room was a bit of a fantasy room with Christmas trees dangling from the ceiling. I would have liked to come near the evening to see all... More
