Great view lake Michigan

Great for a slow walk, several things to do including shopping. Ferris wheel, swing, indoor nature field was very serene.

I had been trying to get to Navy Pier for decades, but for some reason, could never fit it in to my Chicago visit. This time , The stars aligned and was able to see it. I had expected a more carnival-type atmosphere. But, alas, it was made up of a ton of mall-type restaurants, and a bunch of empty... More

We had a great time. We spent the remainder of the day here after we left the aquarium. We ate at various spots, made a build a bear, and rode the swings. It was definitely a memorable and enjoyable experience.

We read about the shopping here but when we walked around we could only find a couple shops. We were disappointed, even though the entire area is beautifully scenic. We asked someone working the ferris wheel if there were more shops, she said no, only the ones that were on the boardwalk area (which had restaurants, but no shops other... More

Pros - Went to Navy Pier yesterday (April 23, 2017). It is free to walk around and enjoy the scenery. :) It was packed and a good experience walking down the pier, seeing the Chicago skyline, boats + getting on the carnival rides. Great atmosphere to hang out in! Our kids loved looking at the boats and water too. We... More

We were pretty much walking all over Chicago on our recent trip and finally ended up at the Navy Pier. I have been there before but this was my wife's first trip to Chicago. It's such a nice walk down the pier and there is an interior with some shopping, food, beer garden and dessert that run the entire length... More

I loved the Navy pier, so much food and things to do. Shakespeare theater and fairs wheel that gives you an amazing view of the skyline. Great for the family and friends of all ages. I stopped by Giordano's some of the best Chicago pizza in Chicago period. Can't explain how it tastes but I can show you how good... More

As per the title of my review, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate when we went to visit this place. It was evening and snowing heavily. Still, we liked the interior of this place and even checked out a sort of Christmas festival that was going on.

We got "beers to go" & walked along the Pier. Weather was excellent. Beautiful views of the city & the lake. We rode the ferris wheel & hopped on the seasaw before renting a bike to ride to the beach.

Staying in Streeterville

Neighbourhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
