I am an admitted Geek. I write, read, play music and immerse myself into science and the arts every minute of every day that I can to keep myself sane and balanced in this wacko world we leave in. This library was Chicago's foray into...More

We decided to check out the Library and found great Artwork on display. The Installation over the escalators of dog tags from every soldier killed in Vietnam was amazing! We didn't expect it, and it was very moving. The building is lovely and we were...More

I think former Mayor Harold Washington would be deeply humbled that his city built such an amazing structure to honor his legacy. It's like a mini Library of Congress, only more modern. It comes complete with a red brick edifice, that looks pinkish brown to...More

Go to the 9th floor and visit the sky piazza. Then visit the exhibits. Right now there is a fun exhibit including old Ronko commercials. THere is also a good exhibit about Harold Washington.

In town for BEA, I had to check out this library. The layout was a bit hard to figure out what was where, but I kept on exploring. The dog tag honoring veterans was touching! A place to see for any book lover.

This library can be visited for its architectural design and its large book and information collection. In addition, the library center also presents lectures and discussions. For $3.00 last June I had the rare opportunity during the Printers Row Lit Fest to listen to one...More

Pretty cool place to visit in Chicago. The building is massive and a work of art on its own. Different pieces of art throughout the library were also amazing to see.

Often visitors' first stop in Chicago, The Loop is a
good starting point to sample the city's energy and

Michelin-rated restaurants, upscale hotels, premier
shopping, and enough arresting architecture to keep
your camera busy for hours. You won’t find too many
photo galleries of downtown Chicago without a shot of
Millennium Park and Cloud Gate (“The Bean”), one of
