Its a pretty average planetarium. Its one of the cheaper attractions in Chicago (a general ticket being $12 for an adult) but its gets pretty old pretty fast. I love space, but I felt like if you didn’t go to a show, or spend extra...More

Military discount accepted too! Lots to see and several different 'sky shows.' However, signs for shows were a little confusing. Had to ask for directions several times. Also, many of the attraction locations were very hot. We rushed through a few just to get to...More

Overall, the place was good, but had high hopes for it. A very typical planetarium; some of the interactives and exhibits were great, but others were just fine. A bit disappointed since I expected more from this place. Definitely would put this down as not...More

We were able to enjoy a couple of shows and explore the planetarium in a couple of hours. This is your classic planetarium, but located on the shore's edge on Lake Michigan. We arrived around 2:30 and most of the crowds had died down on...More

While the place is good, I was expecting more from this place. A couple of shows that one can see, they are informative.

OMG, it was amazing, a lot of hands on items. Don't miss the shows they have. Loved them. The people were great and just so wonderful. Take anyone interested in a career in STEM to this place...amazing.

Great museum to visit during Chicago's cold weather months. It is located in the Museum Campus, just north of Soldier Field. it was founded in 1930 by Max Adler, a local business leader. It contains the Doane Observatory, the only research -active, public urban observatories.

The Adler Planetarium is an original. One of the first planetariums in the country, it is best seen with a plan in advance. While the exhibits in this extraordinary facility are fascinating, it is the sky shows that really grab the visitor and they require...More

South Loop
This downtown neighborhood offers a variety of
activities ranging from cultural to sporting. If you
happen to visit during football season, you may bump
into a boisterous few fans on their way to a Bears
game on the southernmost tip of South Loop. On the
flip side, Museum Campus offers cultural and
educational experiences in its planetarium, museum and
aquarium, all situated along the lakefront. Grant Park
