So glad I was just visiting Chicago, because if I lived there, I'd go broke from visiting this museum EVERY DAY! What a fantastic museum! So many exhibits, make sure you plan at least a couple of days on your trip to be able to see everything. A T-rex skeleton greets you as you come in the door, and there... More

Overall, the Field Museum is great. All of the exhibits are well done and informative. You do have to pay for each special exhibit or get the all-inclusive pass (but the price is steep). The special exhibit we went to was for the Terracotta Warriors. It was neat to actually see the stone statues and how large the actual palace... More

While we enjoyed the Field Museum, we will need to return when our girls (8 and 5) are older. The two exhibits they really enjoyed were the dinosaurs, ancient Egypt and Underground Adventure. Other exhibits, while interesting, were too advanced / not as interactive (It is hard to keep a 5 year old interested in vases / jewelry and other... More

This museum is amazing! They have so many different exhibits you just can't do them all in a day. The Dinosaur movie was good and gave a lot of insight into how they acquired their crown jewel - Sue. The restaurant in the basement was quite good.

We visited the Field Museum mainly in order to see the Greek and Terracotta Warriors traveling exhibitions, but we saw so much more - all in one day. We also saw the hyena diorama, lions of Tsavo, hall of gems, and Inside Ancient Egypt - to say nothing of admiring Sue - the T-Rex dinosaur. Besides being spell-bound by so... More

We got to see the Tera Gotta Soldiers - great display. Got to get up real close. The rest of the museum is first rate. Every time I go I find something new.

I really love The Field Museum. As a former teacher, I taught ancient civilizations and the Ancient Egypt portion of the museum is just awesome. There's a lot to see in that area alone! There are a lot of cool exhibits at this museum & I like how they always have a special exhibit up, too. (I just wish that... More

I don't necessarily recommend this for young children but there is so much to see that my husband and I are going to return sometime WITHOUT the grandkids so that we can go at a more leisurely pace and read more throughout all of the exhibits.

Truly impressive and so much to see. We spent 1/2 a day and didn't see 1/4 of the museum. It's truly amazing. Wear your walking shoes. There are so many exhibits you should def plan your day out if there are certain exhibits you want to see. I loved it and will go back.
