My family of 4 spend nearly $150+ to visit. We didn't spend the extra cost to watch the show and that seems like the most popular attraction there. It is spacious and does have multiple types of underwater animals to watch...the dolphin area is fun! If you don't go to the show you can watch the dolphins play underwater

Overall a good day to spend half a day. We just picked the basic entry and walked away feeling that we got good value. Place is clean and we were treated to the dolphin show but we watched from below. We actually liked it better and it was free. Interesting to watch how the dolphins react from under the water.... This place is just awesome everytime I've been! I took my fiance this time and he loved it! His first time in Chicago and this was the first place I took him. I highly recommend this place! You can't go wrong. Only thing I would avoid is eating there but everything else is amazing!

I am from England and was taken here by an American friend as part of my Chicago unofficial tour. The scale of the place bowled me over for a start. There was just so much to take in. Loved the Beluga Whales and the penguins especially. At every turn I was captivated. Some stunning habitats. A feast or the eyes... More

The Shedd has outdone itself with the new aquatic show, One World. Visually beautiful, fabulous narration and musical score. A delightful pause in a day full of educational, interactive exhibits and adventures. Worth investment for a family membership if going to visit more than once a year...and benefits The Shedd when you join. It is the one place our visiting... More

It would not be a trip to Chicago without a visit to the Shedd Aquarium. The grounds around the Shedd offer up some of the best views of the city. The inside is filled with the most beautiful fish and marine life. I can sit and view the tanks for hours. This is a family place but going alone is... More

My wife and I took a spring break weekend to Chicago. It had been many years since I have been to the Shedd Aquarium. What I found on my visit just a few weeks ago was that all the good stuff cost extra money. Chicago has many Fantastic things to see in experience. Shedd Aquarium is a very famous Aquarium.... More

A classic institution in Chicago, delighting and educating folks for years. Incredible variety of creatures from the seas, lakes, rivers. Some tips. Get a city pass if possible to save some money. The museums here are a bit pricey. Likely populated by lots of school group, so be prepared. Lastly, allow more time than you think, there's plenty to see... More

We really enjoyed this place! The Amazon section was our favorite, some of those fish were so big! Make sure to see everything here. There are so many exhibits, each unique. The dolphin show is ok, no sea world. We did not buy food here, I don't even want to know how much that stuff costs here. Have fun and... More
