Chicago's breath-taking National Landmark Theatre hosts concerts, comedians, theatrical productions and special events every year. The 3,600 seat auditorium is seven stories high, and the vertical "C-H-I-C-A-G-O," sign is one of the few such signs in existence today. A symbol of State Street and Chicago, the marquee is a landmark in itself, as is the Wurlitzer pipe organ. Patrons can also go behind-the-scenes on their educational venue tour, which runs a few times a week.

I have been here for everything from a graduation ceremony to a musician production and I am never disappointed! What an excellent venue!

Saw Brit Floyd (cover band Pink Floyd) on 03/21/15. It was an amazing show but if your first row on the second floor people will be walking back forth all night. Kinda hard to get used to that. The sounds and lights of the show...More

We went to the Chicago Theater to see Amy Schumer on 3/13/15. First off, Amy was so funny it was incredible. She had us in stitches - my wife was laughing so hard she had tears. The jokes were all over the place, and were...More

Comfortable seating, beautiful interior and an excellent theater for events and shows. The Chicago Theatre is one of my favorite venues and I've seen shows here many times.

We always worry that the seating will be uncomfortable. My husband is six foot five and the seating here was fine, no knees against the chair in front of you. If you sit in the mezzanine you can opt for a table or just below...More

saw John Mellencamp here in Feb 2015. This was my first visit to the iconic Chicago Theater, although I have walked by a million times. Wonderful venue, great acoustics for a concert, friendly staff, must-do experience.

Lots of stairs if your way up at the top but it was truly a beautiful venue. Unlike modern facilities that are cement with plastic chairs it is richly decorated and reminiscent of times long ago when going out was an event. We seen a...More

We took the tour. It took a bit more than an hour and was really very informative. My husband, brother-in-law, and I all learned interesting history of a really lovely old theater. If you have an hour or so, go take the tour.

I bought 4 VIP tickets for the April 22, 8 pm performance of Move Beyond Live. This is the first time I've purchased VIP access tickets so I don't know what to do - e.g., when to arrive and where to go for the before show meet, photo opportunity, etc. with Julianne and Derek Hough. I do know what is included in the price of my tickets, it's just the process of accessing that I have questions about. I don't see any other special designation on the tickets other than "VIVIP4" - does that let the ticket taker know they're VIP tickets? Do we receive anything else in the mail before the show? Any guidance you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Just haven't been able to find anything on line.
