I’ve been wanting to try iFly for a while but was deterred by the cost. I ended up signing up though ClassPass, and it was even more fun than I thought it would be! It’s definitely not as easy as it looks but my instructor, William, was very kind and helpful. If you’re waiting to try this, just go ahead and do it.

The concept of “flying” indoors is very interesting and fun. Never thought that I would be able to do such a thing without jumping out of a airplane.
This is a great fun activity to do but.... the biggest “but” is that cost of participating in such a activity is very costly.
For example a 10 flight family deal is $300 which I thought was a decent deal until I found out that 1 flight is only 1 minute long.
The cost and experience in my eyes are not worth it. If cost vs flight time is a lot more reasonable I will be flying all the time. Until then no

Our goal is to recreate the feeling of free-fall you would experience while skydiving. The price for each flyer for a 2-minute flight is less expensive compared to a tandem skydive. A tandem skydive averages $200.00 with an average free fall of 45-55 seconds. We do offer add-ons which are truly optional (ex. High Flight, G3 Helmet Rental etc.) These are designed to enhance the already unbelievable experience. Lastly, we strive to promote our business as well as the sport of indoor skydiving. In doing so, we hope we make a lasting impact on every guest and love if they choose to return. If they do, we offer extremely discounted return packages and bulk pricing so they can continue to progress. The sky is the limit!
Best,
The team at iFLY Lincoln Park

Definitely worth trying at least once! Also think it's great to prep anyone who wants to go Skydiving out of a plane. Our instructor was great, very skilled. We will be back for sure!....do want to mention that you may be sore for awhile afterwards. My hips were really tight and sore, and my fiance's deltoids were.

The first thing their website asks when making a reservation is how many are in your party. Unfortunately, When you proceed to make a reservation, however, it will offer you times when there is availability for only 1 person even if you start off saying there are multiple people in your party and it does so in a way that is not obvious that the reservation you are making is only for 1. Thus, I had 3 in my party but when I showed up (for the Naperville location actually) I was told I had a reservation for 1 and they couldn't accommodate the other 2 people in my party. At first, they even refused to give me a refund saying we had to choose which of the 3 of us was going to fly. I had to be very, very insistent to get the guy to agree to give me a refund. I will never go back and recommend you avoid the place at all cost (even if you make out better with the website than I did, you may need some customer service from them and they appear to be very poor at that).

Hi there, we're so sorry you feel this way. The TripAdvisor listing states the following in regards to our weight policy: "In order to provide a safe experience for its customers and instructors, iFLY may not be able to accommodate flyers who weigh between 260-300 lbs and will not be able to accommodate flyers whose weight exceeds 300 lbs. Upon check in for flight reservations, additional evaluation by local staff will be required to determine if flyers between 260-300 lbs can be accommodated and whether additional restrictions may apply." In addition, the listing also states "All sales are final and incur 100% cancellation penalties." We're so sorry you were unable to fly, but we do try to be as clear as possible about everything upfront.

My friend and I visited on Monday afternoon, as it was something we had both wanted to do for a long time. Although a little expensive, it was well worth it. We bought the 1 minute 2 ride experience and then added on the high fly experiences where the instructor takes you high to low while spinning. Definitely recommend adding that on to your flight. They also asked us to lengthen the time, which I didn’t find necessary flying at the first level. Luke, our instructor was amazing. I was incredibly nervous and he put my nerves at ease and also made the experience so much fun. Try to ask for Luke!! Overall something very fun to do if you are looking for a fun indoor activity to do out of the norm.
