We were taken here as part of a half day tour of Boa Vista and what a beach !! Amazing clear and turquoise water.

There’s a huge ugly looking hotel half built there, so go quickly before it’s spoilt and commercialised. Nothing but one little bar there - we loved it, clear waters but still choppy, lots of fish

We stopped over at this beach when returning from our quad biking adventures. It is a tranquil beach that you can swim in. Nice beach bar too.

We visited Boca Beach Bar on Santa Monica beach and had the most amazing day, fresh lobster stunning cocktails, great fun. The staff couldn't do enough and truly had the best day ever.

The water is crazy rough and the waves are mental. People kept going in, getting knocked all over, and coming out again. Some laughing, but one or two ended up in A&E so be warned.

Il faut y aller en pick up ou en quad mais ça vaut la peine, 18 Km de sable blanc bordé d'un océan turquoise . On y est allés en pick up avec chauffeur . L'hôtel le plus proche est le Riu Touareg .

The temperature doesn't vary much from month to month although January is the coldest month at about 23 degrees. In July it can be 28 degrees. Cape Verde is always windy so in January it feels a bit colder than 23. The sea is always pretty chilly and even more so in January. Swimming pools also feel a bit colder in January because the air temperature is cooler. This is why January is one of the least popular months to visit the islands. I hope this helps.

Siamo andati con Pier Scaramelli, organizza i tour a prezzi onesti e fa lavorare i ragazzi del posto.
Le onde sono alte, almeno a maggio. Non è adatto a fare snorkeling.

Hi The santa monica beach we visited is in Boa Vista Cape Verde, it is absolutley beautiful and unspoilt. I think its usually in the top 25 beaches in the world.

Red flag up all the 10 days we were there. Rough sea and strong undertow. Last year friend of mine was swimming then caught by a wave and threw against some rocks. He was airlifted back to the uk. Primitive medical facilities in Cape Verde.

Thought it was Santa Monica California, because there is a Santa Monica State Beach there also.

Yes, the beach is separated in parking sections, Santa Monica State beach is near the pier, Venice Beach is South towards Marina Del Rey.
Dock Weiler Beach is North of the Pier towards Malibu and further north past Malibu is another state beach and campgrounds.
Further South towards El Segundo, Huntington Beach, San Onofre, Carlsbad, and Encinitas also have camping opportunities.
Best biking path is Santa Monica, I think least crowded options are Oceanside - Del Mar, CA.

It says Santa Monica State Beach..so I thought it was the Santa Monica State Beach in Santa Monica California

No it’s not, it’s in Cape Verde. It’s in Boa Vista, if you go there you should definitely make a trip to this beach.

Santa Monica beach - Boa Vista - is beautiful but the water is very rough and with strong undercurrents Most of the time it is inadvisable to swim in the sea.
