In my opinion this is the greatest! So many very well kept exhibits, clean, safe, fun. You can pay for the extra attractions but no need to except maybe the tram. Take your time and enjoy.

My grandchildren had a wonderful time here. It is well laid out and marked so you can find the animals you'd like. The petting zoo was especially nice with goats and wallabys that were easy to access. The food was of course a little more...More

This is the second time I've been to this zoo. Once back in summer 2007, and yesterday June 20 for our daughter's 8th Birthday. She had a good time although got very tired from all the walking since we spent the whole day there. A...More

My family visited the zoo a couple of weeks ago, and we were very disappointed to learn that Festival of Flight no longer existed. Instead, they now have a donosaur show. The free bird show was very entertaining for all ages, whereas the dinosaurs are...More

The on;y major complaint is there is a lot of useless space. Would like to see more foliage along walkways. I did go when it was 35 degrees C. So maybe that made my experience a bit works.

This zoo had a good mix of inside and outside exhibits and lots of trees that provide shade. Recommend going in the morning before it gets too hot. Allows strollers and coolers. Only downside is that lots of activities cost extra (petting zoo, penguin interaction,...More

I went to this zoo on 6/10/17. It was just okay. I had a good time and will probably go again, but I've been to zoos where I think the enclosures for the animals were nicer. I still recommend it though. However be sure to...More

Who knew....great zoo that doubles as a wedding venue that is really fun! Our family member got married next to the big fountain in the center of the zoo, trams then took us all to the aquarium for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres--it smelled a little...More

Hi, I am not sure exactly how far the walk is, but I don't think you would have any safety issues. My husband thinks there might be a bus you can take as well. I will try and check.

You can try to go to Bank of America on line for free one day pass and also local library's may let you check out a free day pass.
We were thinking of a trip to the zoo in March. Is that not an ideal time to go? What can we expect to be closed in March? Also, how much of zoo is outdoor? Indoor?

The zoo doesn't close anything because of weather. Some animals have indoor habitats that they move into. If you dress appropriately it's the best time to go. Crowds are sparse and the winter loving animals are very... More
