I didn't really learn anything. I don't know a lot about mining so I was left with more questions. Very small.

This is great little museum, loaded with history, exhibits and history. Some of the exhibits are interactive. The curator offered our teens a scavenger hunt that got them involved in the history. There was so much mining history, area history, education about the mining industry, as well as great artifacts and such. It was very affordable. In my opinion it... More

This is well worth the price of admission. Like many smaller museums, this one has been well thought-out, and is stuffed with enough interesting exhibits to fill an afternoon (although you could probably do the highlights in a hour or so). Staff was very friendly, and quick to recommend other places around town too.

Wallace is “The Center of the Universe,” a mining town from which came 1.3 billion ounces of silver. This small museum details the working conditions and how ore was extracted from the earth. The work was grueling, but I imagine the rewards were substantial enough to keep workers here for so many years. I highly recommend this museum, if you... More

I came looking for family members and the nice folks here helped me do just that. I was able to purchase a photo of my great, great relatives during the mining period. The museum is another must see on the Wallace list.

The film alone is worth the $3 per person admission fee. The exhibits were both informative and interesting. Recommend visiting this museum before going on the Sierra Silver Mine tour.

This was very affordable so we checked it out. Not much in the way of interactive exhibits although you can touch most of the items. All in all we were not disappointed.

Great stop and interesting information, fun and a wonderful place for families and kids. Mining silver was and is the biggest industry in this valley.

This is a great little museum that highlights the mining history of the Silver Valley in North Idaho. Interesting displays, lots of detail, and a gift shop with jewelry, books and more. The people working have a ton of information on the area, on mining and on minerals and are more than willing to share all they know. Good museum!
