Like other reviews this is a good beach with good eateries but Princess Margaret beach is the best in my view. Depending where you are staying it may not be worth the effort in getting here. Cheers Brian - Home Exchange 50plus

We were at this beach for about 3 days while staying at Keegan's. It never felt crowded and there were lots of trees to provide shade from the sun. Entry to the water is relatively easy, but it's gets deep fairly quickly so our small kids didn't go out far. Snorkelling is amazing here as you can see quite a... More

This is the second (after Princess Margaret) beach on the island. It is calm with lovely sand and has plenty of places to eat/drink in close proximity. Well worth a visit.

The swimming is extraordinary in the warm, usually calm sea. There are plenty of fish to see on several reefs & it's a family friendly beach that is seldom crowded.

Be very careful with this beach. I would not recommend to non-swimmers or young children as the tide is unpredictable and it can get deep at the shore. Otherwise a lovely place with gorgeous scenery. Check out Princess Margaret further up the road

Great shaded beach with beautiful view or moored yachts. It has two restaurants, La Plage and Keegans beachside apartments restaurant. Sand is white, sea is blue, but we went with a 15 month old and had to be careful in sea with him as the shore suddenly drops away to an adults chest height, so although supervised, it's not the... Nice beach only 15 min taxi ride from town, or water taxi from jetty in town centre, couple of nice bars/cafes on the beach with plenty of Caribbean vibe

My better half & I just spent 2 weeks in Bequia (late November into December). We stayed in an apartment (booked through Keegan's Beachside Hotel) at the north end of Lower Bay. It takes some effort to get there ... the hill down from the main road is fairly steep and long ... which may explain how "un-busy" and relaxed... More

Nice sandy beach with several restaurants and bars. Shade trees which is nice to get out of the hot sun.
