I had a delightful walk through the arboretum and botanical gardens. Be prepared for a few hills as you meander the pathways lined with trees and shrubs from all over, each carefully labeled. On the other side of the water tower is a lovely forest area with trails. The old part of campus is equally worth the time for a... More

Beautiful place to jog, walk, read a book, throw a frisbee, etc. There is no reason not to enjoy an afternoon here. After my move to Moscow this one of my favorite places to be.

My sister in law brought us to this little unexpected gem. If you come from a very urban environment you might think this part of USA has little to offer. Not so, you may just need to look harder. The story behind the garden, of a professional who put good use to being ostracised by colleagues, is a great background.the... More

Beautiful well played out. Always clean and pleasant. Lilac exposition is wonderful and recognized nationally. Highpoint in Northern Idaho.

UI has a couple of arboretums right across the street from each other. We explored the main one. This place is planned out very well. To walk the main loop is about a mile, mile and a half. Very nice stroll through the trees. Being spring, some trees were bloomed out, some not. Nonetheless it was a beautiful place to... More

You really should visit the arboretum for an hour's walk along the trails. The plants are lovely and the setting is very peaceful. It is wheel chair accessible BUT there is a steep grade to parts of the trail so older people in wheel chairs would need to be pushed in places.

Living on campus has allowed me to take walks to the Arboretum, and I have one impression. Gorgeous.

The UI arboretum is a beautiful and charming place. By going there you can see beautiful and exotic species of trees, enjoying your afternoon by the lake in the middle of the park and see the different and beautiful shades of colors! Fall is awesome there, the maples get orange, red and yellow. It is beautiful and I strongly recommend... More
