The Arg has an amazing selection of diverse plants and trees. It has great walking paths. It is very hilly and the paths are not paved so come with good outdoor walking shoes. There are lots of benches scattered around so you can take a break if you need to. Another great feature is that the plants are all labeled... More

Beautiful Garden area, well taken care of, paths are crushed gravel and easy to walk. Open space, and sections are based on types of habitat

Beautiful in the winter. Great walking path. Loved the easy access. Worth seeing. Don't have anything else to say.

Enjoyed the 2 hours of walking and looking, the only drawback no really parking when school is in (go in the summer or the Spring break) at the northern entrance, you'll have to leave the campus and drive around to the South parking lot on Palouse River Drive were there is parking, but you have a walk that goes uphill,... The Arboretum is always beautiful. There are tons of different trees and flowers and it's a lot of fun to just go wander around. However, I wish I could take my dog walking through. But I understand. There are geese in the pond...

The Arboretum is a pleasant spot almost any time of the year. Can be spectacular in spring. There are geographic sections. Too much of the Arboretum is just garden center specimens or odd sports of standard plants.

Located right next to the U of I golf course on 63 acres, this is a place to enjoy whether you have a short time or all day. We have visited from spring through fall and often times take a picnic lunch with us. The variety of trees and plants from all continents is amazing with good descriptions. There are... More

It was on a visit to the arboretun that we decided to plant scarlet oak trees for each of our grandchildren. We now have 4 scarlet oak trees in the front of drive.

My favorite part of Moscow. It is located on campus next to the golf course. It is absolutely beautiful! Me n my sister had delightful walk through the arboretum and botanical gardens. Be prepared for a few hills as you meander the pathways lined with trees and shrubs from all over, each carefully labeled. On the other side of the... More

A walk through the Arboretum was recommended to my wife and I by the owners of the Wylie Lauder House, a B&B within walking distance of UI. It was a great walk, with many trees and flowering plants to admire and take shade under. It was much bigger and better than we anticipated ... well-done to UI and the volunteers... More
