Though I live here I had not been on the complete tour until family visited. We have been three times in the past year. We had family ages 4-84 and they all enjoyed this experience. A definite must if you are in Montpelier Idaho.

I stayed at the motel right next door and was the first guest when the Trail Center opened in the morning and had a private tour. First stop is to meet with the wagon master for the 100 wagon caravan he is leading in 1852....More

Very informative and fun to explore. Everyone is dressed in period clothing and take you on an "trip" down the Oregon Trail. Tons of great information presented in a way everyone will enjoy.

Wonderful experience. Everyone should go and see how much courage these people had, to travel such a dangerous route. I loved their interactive part of the museum.

We didn't have a lot of time to spend so we weren't able to do the interactive trail experience, but it sounded like it would have been a lot of fun. We enjoyed looking through the gallery, special quilt exhibit and lower level artifacts.

If you are in the area, this is a great educational experience! The price is a little high for the tour but the tour is where the information and interactive experiences are. The docents are engaging and highly knowledgeable. Very well done!
