If you have 1-2 hours to kill, I highly recommend stopping at the museum. Our train master provided some very interesting info on how our pioneers traveled the country via wagons. The “young” gentleman in the railroad museum was so enjoyable. I could have spent...More

Staff does its best to make this stop informative and fun. I suspect its best for groups with children (at 67 I was one of the younger ones on a Trafalgar Bus Tour of the National Parks), but the staff dresses in frontier garb and...More

Though I live here I had not been on the complete tour until family visited. We have been three times in the past year. We had family ages 4-84 and they all enjoyed this experience. A definite must if you are in Montpelier Idaho.

Very informative and fun to explore. Everyone is dressed in period clothing and take you on an "trip" down the Oregon Trail. Tons of great information presented in a way everyone will enjoy.

Wonderful experience. Everyone should go and see how much courage these people had, to travel such a dangerous route. I loved their interactive part of the museum.

This was a very pleasant visit. We enjoyed a good lunch in a restaurant surrounded by covered wagons in which we sat at tables. We then went through several areas which took us on a virtual journey along the Oregon trail. We were taken to...More

We didn't have a lot of time to spend so we weren't able to do the interactive trail experience, but it sounded like it would have been a lot of fun. We enjoyed looking through the gallery, special quilt exhibit and lower level artifacts.
