We took the waterbus from San Marco, gorgeous short walk down to beach through town.
Lovely free beach, plenty quiet spots, great views!

Lovely for an early morning walk and empty at this time of year. Had a lovely paddle ,easy sandy stroll but slippy dunes to get onto the beach.

A relaxation day to give our feet a rest from all the sightseeing!
A water taxi to the lido & an easy 10 minute walk to the beach.
We had the option of the free public beach or to pay €18 for two sunbeds & a sun umbrella, also included was free use of the changing rooms, toilet & shower. We chose the sunbeds & had the choice of position, just like choosing a seat at the theatre, great idea!
The sunbeds were well laid out to allow for social distancing, it was very clean & it was quiet all day, fantastic!
A great day out & feet well rested for the following day!

We visited the free beach area of Lido - there is plenty of space, options to rent umbrellas, there are lots of logs you are able to sit on. The water is lovely and warm to paddle and swim in. Toilets available (you have to pay) and a nice bar serving drinks and snacks too! Stopped for an icecream on our way back! Enjoyed our day here and got a lovely tan :)

Lido itself is a sweet town but if you are going for the beach, avoid Les Bains. They will try to charge you 45 Euros for one sunbed and umbrella. The woman I dealt with was so rude I just walked away. I have traveled all over the world and this beach is just okay.

Apart from the fact that we nearly ended up on a ship going to another country because we were not allowed to get off the bus the beach was okay. It was an alright beach but unfortunately i got stung by what i think was a jellyfish even though it was much more painful.

Perfect for a family vacation. Lots of good restaurants and the beach is beautiful. Note that most of the beach is privatized and you need to pay to stay. Can be expensive!

There are cars and buses here so remember to cross roads carefully. If coming by the number 1 non summer schedule from piazzale Roma over an hour, San Zaccaria 20 minutes. If in the summer number 2 also runs here slightly less time. A number of eateries bars and cafes at the bus and boat stations. Very good supermarket at Conad if picking up your own supplies. Several reasonable hotels near by too. The beach is at the far end of Gran Viale from the station about 15 minute walk.

Lido is lovely, very clean and tidy. Plenty of restaurant, bars and hotels. On 10 minutes on water taxi from main part of Venice, 1 hour for airport. You can take a water taxi to different areas of Venice from Lido. In the warmer months there is also a beach.
