Only ten minutes from San Marco by Vaporetto and an escape into the sophisticated elegance of the Lido, things were just still open in October compared to all shuttered up on our last visit in January. The Venezia Unica passes work on the buses here as well as for the boat from Venice so it works well. We were pleased... More

I came out to the Lido beaches just to collect shells and swim in the warm water. I had such a good time.

It was a nice change of pace from the very busy and touristy main island of Venice. Some really great restaurants and shops, and the beach was great. If you're looking for a day at the beach near Venice this is the place to go!

The beach at Lido is very clean and has all the facilities to let you stay all day. Showers toilets, beach huts, sun loungers, and somewhere to eat too. Great

The place to stay when you come to Venice. You can enjoy all of the activities in Venice by day, and then enjoy the Lido by Night. Wonderful!!!

Board walk nearly to the sea. Quite a walk from the boat bus but worth it. Cycle hire in the town which could help Plenty of places to eat and drink on the way

This area must be hell in the high summer season, with probably very crowded mostly private beaches, but was a delight to walk around, mostly alone, while bulldozers worked to build huge sandbanks to protect beach huts from the winter storms. We very happily polished off half a bottle of wine while staring at the sea!

The seafront at Lido Beach is long and sandy and thats about it. There are no shops or bars and it is difficult to admire the sea from the pavement due to row upon row of unattractive beach huts. If this is where the people of Venice have to go to sunbath then I feel sorry for them.

This beach is full of energy during our visit. There were people enjoying the beautiful weather, but not super crowded. There is a restaurant and vendors there but its a little pricey. There also have decent beach facilities so you can use lockers, showers and such.
