Not far from the Ghetto area of Venice. Lovely looking bridge and was in quite a quiet area so easy to take pictures and take in the surroundings

When in Venice, just unwind and relax.... the best way to experience this beautiful city is by spending the whole day walking, browsing shops, and stopping for refreshments at amazing gorgeous little eateries that seem to magically pop up out of no where! We walked this bridge while enjoying a gelato standing right at the top while watching a gondola... More

We missed the turn off to the Ghetto and landed up at this unusual bridge. While it is attractive, I would not recommend a special trip to view it.

It is not one of the most visited bridges in Venice, but it's a nice view, with nice little streets. It is also a good walk until there, lot of nice canals too see near.

You can't expect much from the bridge, its so simple, but the neighborhood is lovely, you can walk there and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of Lido.

We passed under this bridge upon entering Venice and I have to say it was disappointing. One side is what we expected to see, while the reverse side had a ginormous, egantic ad on it. Very distasteful if you ask me. No way to entice visitors.

It's a nice neighborhood(Cannaregio) with numerous bridges, you can really get a grasp of the venetian lifestyle here. Ponte dei Tre Archi is one of the most beautiful bridges in Venice and an amazing view from above. Ai Tre Archi is one of the best restaurants nearby with good food, amazing staff and good prices.

We stayed in Cannaregio initially and it was delightful..but to get out of the hustle and bustle that is Venice mid season. We moved to Lido Island which was delightful, yet only minutes from everything via Vaporetti (water bus).

Bridges, bridges and more bridges, breathtaking to look at as well as having to climb over (whew!). This was one of the most beautiful, especially when looking above from the seat of a romantic gondola.

Staying in Cannaregio

Neighbourhood Profile
Cannaregio
Cannaregio is the second largest sestiere (district) with its busy Santa Lucia train station. Many transplanted Venetians commute from the outlying areas, “terra firma” to the locals, which is shorthand for any place that is not Venice. Two Grand Canal bridges serve Cannaregio, the newest (Constitution, 2008) still a local hotbed of controversy. Ponte degli Scalzi is a busy link to the train station. Nearby shops on the Lista di Spagna offer specialties like pastries and coffee that lure Venetians with a down-to-earth attitude. The Ghetto, where the Jewish population was segregated in Cannaregio, has five historic synagogues with an active Jewish community. The Fondamente Nove bustles with foot traffic to the Rialto and San Marco while vaporettos (water taxis) head to Murano and other islands. Side streets lead into quiet picturesque neighbourhoods and palaces like Ca' d'Oro rise directly out of the water.
