Very well laid out and developed park along shore of lake. Includes museums, basketball courts, child play equipment, historical ball field and soooo many large beautiful trees. Stringent rules about no dogs on grass. Also has beach front access on sandy beaches.

The park is in the downtown area, with a large parking lot. There is a small beach on the lake, and a lot of benches to relax on.

I think it is awesome that there is open space and beaches to enjoy on such a beautiful lake. We enjoyed it!

This is the main hang! Everybody knows about independence point. It is a decent beach, plenty of parking (not free), good sand, swimming zone, board/kayak/paddleboat rentals, and treats all available here.
