This is a beautiful old theater. It is beautifully maintained, the acoustics are awesome, it's well staffed and managed, and perfectly located in the heart of downtown Boise. It's just a shame that the concert we attended was so darn bad. But that's not the...More

Boise benefits from the fabulous restoration of this early Twentieth Century theater by the Hardy family. Now one can attend venues from opera to jazz, from literary readings to ski specialty shows with occasional film classics at the Egyptian. Watch the marquee and the newspapers...More

Visiting Boise, I saw a presentation (I'll Push you) at the Egyptian Theater and what a spectacular building. The exterior detail was exquisite, very art deco, well maintained and eye-catching. The interior was immaculate and luxurious, red velvet everywhere, chairs so soft you wanted to...More

A beautiful theater. It is great to see that it has been restores/maintained. The architecture is so different from any other theater I've ever seen. Seat are comfortable. A great place to attend a performance.

The Egyptian Theater offers live theater in a gorgeous setting. The house is small enough to surround you with and intimate theater experience. Choices vary so keep an eye out of offerings.

I can imagine the Egyptian being the coolest place in town in its heyday. It's unquestionably the oddest theatre that you'd expect to find in Boise, ID, but definitely the coolest. Is it the nicest one? No. But its decor is a throwback to when...More

Another fun evening enjoying a Boise downtown classic experience. Whether it's for a film festival or classic movie night, the Egyptian delivers. For some reason the crowd's always great!
