The Egyptian Theatre is a gem that very nearly wasn't saved from the wrecking ball as Boise grew over the years. It opened for business in 1927 during the "Egyptian" craze that swept the country in the 1920s after the discovery of the grave of...More

We came to town to see a music concert here. This is a great venue. All the seats on the main floor were excellent...you feel like you are right up by the stage. Cool decor. They sell some snacks and beverages in the lobby. The...More

If you love the character and the unique settings of old theaters, you will love the Egyptian. Boise classic movie nights here are fun, and the crowds get into it, with costumes and applause. The popcorn was a little lacking the last time we were...More

Showing nastalgic old timer movies and bringing them back to the big screen is super cool. I go once a year. They have concessions.

A beautiful theater. It is great to see that it has been restores/maintained. The architecture is so different from any other theater I've ever seen. Seat are comfortable. A great place to attend a performance.

We attended a screening of a documentary film, "Bravo." The theatre had a nice lobby with refreshments. The seats in the balcony were comfortable with sufficient rise to allow full view of the screen from the center aisle and one off center. The decorations are...More

Sat in the orchestra seating area, which offers comfortable seats, but they are all on the same level. We had no trouble seeing the stage and the performer. Each seat has a built-in drink/cup holder, which I began to be an annoyance toward the end...More
