We are members and we love to see the changes during the year. The native plants, flowers, and trees are a joy and an education any time of year. The setting next to the old penitentiary has some surprises like this guard tower!

This botanical garden is lovely and spacious. It's a wonderful place to spend an hour or two. When we were there, scarecrows were out in force! Some people have great imaginations!

I volunteer at the garden and pets are not allowed inside. If you go to the "policies" page on the IBG website, you will find the answer.

Yes! The Garden is open during the holiday season. Mon-Fri: 9-5 pm & Winter Garden aGlow Mon-Sun: 6-9 pm. You can review hours on the website. I hope that helps! -Richard

Absolutely. There are lots of areas for blanket and bench or table picnicking.
