We went in search of Julia Davis Park because of a picture of a statue of Abraham Lincoln that was shown in the information provided by our hotel Inn at 500. The park was within walking distance from the hotel. We found the impressive statue and took some pictures. Across the parking lot was a small rose garden. And even though it was late in the season for the roses they are still very pretty. There is also a Black History Museum on the property. It didn't appear to be open as many things weren't due to COVID.

We had a lot of fun at the beautiful Julia Davis Park. Years ago, they used to have the Boise River Festival there. It was only held a few years, but the park is still there with lots of fun things to do. We went to the Zoo, saw the Lincoln Memorial, rode bikes to the Green Belt and rented paddle boats on the little pond there. There is also a stage for a band/performance. There are restrooms, picnic tables, rose gardens, lots of shade and lots of fun things to see. There is free parking and it is easy to find. We loved the paddle boats! It's only $10.00 for half an hr (plenty of time to make your way around the pond). There are lots of geese, some fake looking cranes here and there and if you look in the water you will see fish of all sizes! Beautiful place to visit in Boise!

The park was easy to find and was spacious with paddleboats and geese!! The trees were awesome to wonder under during the record heat when we were there.

Perfectly situated along the Boise River, this heavily shaded park is sinfully rich in the greenest grass you can imagine. No litter, no graffiti, no homeless, I had to pinch myself. How is this possible? Seems to be plenty of parking with other attractions situated within the park. Quite the gem of a park. Well done.
