So many sights to see! Had a small group on electric bikes, so we got to see a lot more, but there were bird sanctuaries, waterfowl sanctuaries, beavers, two hydro-dams, lots of parks and beautiful bridges.

Relax and enjoy the Peace that waits for you! Look around and you will see the wonders of Boise! Bring a canteen of water and take a hike into the plateau a small walk above. Mountain climbing to the high plateau above the small ridge. Bring flower seeds and plant some California Poppies for your next visit.

Bring your walking shoes your bicycle. Be aware many parts of the path are closed du to the fact it is under water. One bridge is out for now and there is no plan to return it - the river is rushing that fast.

This is such an excellent feature. We road our bikes up and down the green belt . It is so great to see so many people out walking, running or on bikes and it was early spring. I can imagine it gets busy in the summer.

Fantastic place to have a meal and a stroll. During the summer you rent tubes and can float the river.

The Boise city area has the outdoor feel to it because the Boise River runs through the middle of the city with a mountains background to the north. There is no better place to visit the beauty of the city and nature than by walking, jogging or biking the river trail. The trail consists of about 25 miles within the... More

This is just a heads up for anyone planning to go to the Greenbelt. Today is April 7, 2017. Over half of the Greenbelt is closed indefinitely due to the high fast flowing river. Several surrounding low lying areas are flooded. It may be well into June before the water recedes.

Whether you want to relax, meditate or have a family fun day cycling or walking, the Greenbelt is my go-to place. There's something for everyone, including a playground for kids; fresh river water meandering through the city, small beaches and more. Love Boise!
