The so called bird "show" was only having one bird brought out and displayed close up. But everything else was about what we expected. The views of the surrounding countryside were breathtaking, and my daughter couldn't get enough of the ground squirrels everywhere! It was fun to see the different birds, and the buildings, cages, and grounds were spotless. We... More

I can't believe that we wasted $12 to see 4 live raptors, 8 ground squirrels, 75 goldfish. The bird show in the theater was a slide show. Now what I hoped for and expected were raptors that I could photograph. You can forget that- big black bars and poor light are the rule. This is probably a great learning center... More

Hi there! We are so sorry you were disappointed. The Bird Presentation immediately follows the film, so we are also sorry you missed out on seeing one of our Education Birds up close and personal. The black bars are there for the birds protection, however, if you decide to return, please ask a volunteer or staff member about photographing the... More

Great place to go and learn about raptors. They even have 2 California condors there to see. Also the site offers great views of the valley towards Boise - feels like you are far away in the country when you are actually quite close.

What an awesome place and group of dedicated, well informed people. The international impact this place has is incredible. Saving and reintroducing species worldwide is a pretty spectacular feat and conservation efforts with global impact are right here in our backyard.

This is an interesting and affordable visit, even if you aren't much into birds. A ten-minute drive from the freeway, the Center is on a bluff that offers nice views of the city. The displays of the birds are nicely done, and you can get fairly close to these giant birds. The staff are well-versed and friendly. The take the... More

We were able to see and learn lots of info on multiple birds of prey. Frankie was amazing! She was our guide during the live bird show, the archives tour, and even took the time between tours/shows to talk to us about the birds residing at the center and to answer any questions. We were happily surprised during the archives... More

I visited with family, and we were pleased with the signage that warned of pestering the birds. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

I was nervous about going after reading previous reviews. I had a great time! Many improvements and updates have been made and it's really cool. We brought my 2 year old who is in a wheelchair and he was able to enjoy the time too. There were 5 species of birds on display in outdoor pens, the biggest being the... More

The World Center for Birds of Prey gives people of all ages the opportunity to learn more about the various birds of prey whether they are Falcons, Owls, Eagles, Condors, etc. You also learn about other birds as well. I believe one of the best demonstrations and interactions with people are when they bring out the Crow. Crows have always... More
