Walking on this beach is always enjoyable because of the very few people. We go to watch the birds and hope to see container ships go past.

The northern-most extension of the North Beach is the Savannah River Beach. Calm (little to no waves) is fun for relaxing and less crowds make for a fun day! And you will see dozens upon dozens of dolphins day in and day out from here.

Few people, dolphins swimming by, not many waves and fun watching the ships come and go. If you want to party, this isn't the beach...head south for that.

If you want an authentic Tybee Beach experience, this is the beach for you. Limited access, never crowded, and excellent views of ships passing through the Savannah port.

What you will love is watching the boats, pelicans, dolphins on the river and the SAND is easy to walk on. This was never crowded and perfect for sunrise and sunset. Very peaceful.

I love this area. The beach in front of Savannah Beach and Racquet Club is nice. You can watch the Dolphins swim and the cargo ships go by. During shrimping season the shrimp boats sometimes dock right in front of the condos and it is...More
