This beach is clean and pretty. There is a parking lot with vending machines, bathrooms, a restaurant within walking distance, and a boardwalk leading to the beach. The parking lost costs money to use and was full by noon. We liked this beach more than...More

Not a lot of wave action but not overly crowded. A perfect get away. You can always take a long walk and get closer to crowds. But that wasn't what I was looking for.

The north beach was the site of my daughter's Tybee Island wedding. Lovely and less crowded than the beach further south, at least when we were there (midMay). Lighthouse and museum across the street, one beach restaurant and shop. Several parking lots (but like all...More

The North Beach seemed pretty nice. There's a changing area and the North Beach Grill is right there. ((You have to pay for parking, however.) We enjoyed the swing and walked around a bit when we first arrived. Went again after a rainstorm and was...More

The North Beach area is much calmer than the other beaches at Tybee. It is very family friendly as there are barely waves at all to knock the little ones down. You can see tons of dolphins while you are sitting on the beach also....More

Beautiful beach. Attracts slightly smaller crowds than South Beach. Tybee Island Lighthouse, North Beach Bar and Grill right there. Public parking area (pay). Recommended.

Not as crowded as South Beach during the week, but busy on the weekends! Nice view of the light house. Spotted dolphins. Child stung by man of war while we were there, life guards not prepared to help deal with this.

If you must go to the beach, North Beach on Tybee Island odd the better choice. Good access. Parking. Less honky tonk, less kitch, not as much shopping. Place to eat well, play in the sand and enjoy the waves.

The north end of the beach is much less populated and has swings you can sit in and watch the ocean. If you want to relax and enjoy the beauty of the island, this is the place to go. I would love to live there.

Hello! Planning on being in Savannah for the first time over Easter break. Staying downtown at Kimpton Brice and wondering how to get to North Beach from there for a day of sunshine. Thanks in advance!
