    Best Usambara mountains guide
Due to the occasion, I would like to recommend my guide from last year again - WhatsApp contact details can be found below in the shared article. Hiking the Usambara Mountains at Tanzania with him is a unforgettable experience. Anyone who wants to know how to get to Lushoto from Arusha or Moshi, for example, or needs more details, is welcome to send him a message, and Haji can also provide information directly. Excellent trekking experience - amazing scenery, fantastic guide and not overly touristy!
Had a fantastic experience doing a 3 days trek through the Usambara Mountains! Venture outside of the tourist hotspots of Serengeti, Kilimanjaro and Zanzibar and you will find a hidden gem such as the Usambara Mountains. Highlights of my trek include: amazing scenery especially at Mambo viewpoint, getting a glimpse of local life when walking past the numerous villages, being greeted from afar by the happy kids, chameleon and monkey spotting and last but not least, even cramming into a local bus!! Did the trek with Dennis (+255 62 168 1856) and I will highly recommend his services! He was knowledgeable, professional, reliable, offered great customer service. It was great to listen and understand a little more about the history and customs of the local area. To add on, he has an excellent eye in spotting those elusive chameleons :D PS: The trek through Usambara Mountains could be tailored depending on how many days you have and how difficult you want the hike to be.

An expedition together with Samuel Izetii
We had a wonderfull day in the Uzambara Mountains together with our guide Samuel Izetii. Samuel is a very experienced guide with a rich knowledge of nature and biology. It was a great pleasure for us to walk with him through the villages and talk to the families. We learned a lot about local agriculture and the way of living in the Usambara mountains. He sees the animals, where we tourists are simply blind! We left early in the morning and came back late in the afternoon. The absolut highlight was the the visit to the cliffs of Irente. We were always in good hands, and Samuel took care that we were not exhausted. Samuel can be contacted through the tourist office in Lushoto or by phone +255787492492

4 days 3 nights in usambara mountains
Wow! Beautiful mountains which give you a good insight of Tanzania's rural side, away from the tourists. We did a tour with Dennis (contact him with this number : + 255 621 681 856) and Baraka, and both of them were AMAZING guides. They really take their job to heart and the whole trip was extremely well organized. They adapt the trail according to your needs. I can only recommend you to visit the mountains with Dennis's company - you'll most likely see tones of cameleons, grab them and play a bit with them on your arms, see the local life and a bunch of cool insects and maybe monkeys inside the rainforests. The food served during our tour was also great. Don't think about it twice - just do it if you enjoy cool insects, cameleons, seeing the locals, hiking, etc.

Great hike experience, Everything was beyond our expectations.
We had a fantastic 4 days hike with Halisi African Adventures in Usambara Mountains. The entire Halisi team was wonderful. Our guide, Elias were incredibly knowledgeable and absolutely great. We always felt safe in their hands from the start to the ends of trip. Brighton back office was wonderful. He always answered our emails in a timely fashion and always had wonderfully detailed answers to all our questions. Honestly, it was smooth sailing with him. I would definitely recommend this excursion to everyone and recommend Halisi African Adventures while you visit Tanzania.

Was absolutely the best tour I've ever been on.
We booked 3 days hiking in the Usambara Mountains with Halisi African Adventures and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. he knew everything about the plants, the history, and the culture of the region. The communication with Brighton went very well, the services provided were very good the car, food, lodges He explained everything and answered all the questions with patience and always smiling. We went through the forest, and villages where the always smiling children would come and speak with us, never asking for money, only wanting to share a moment. Halisi African Adventures team was very helpful and took good care of us.

    Hiking Usumbara
We booked a three day hiking trip in Usambara Mountains with our guide Dennis. Amazing place to visit if you want to explore something outside of "the usual" in Tanzania. Very green, lush area, small villages, friendly people and a lot of agriculture. Dennis is very knowledgeable and explained a lot about the area, Tanzania and its culture. Highly recommended. Accommodation (especially the Sisters) is a bit basic but very interesting place to stay for the night.

Usambara Mountains are a great experience. The best way to explore them and get to know its friendly people and beautiful landscape (natural forests!) is hiking. I did two one day trips and a three day trip with Samuel, phone and whatsapp +255 787 492 492 (or go to the Tayodea Tour Care office in Lushoto, next to the bus station). He is the perfect guide. Knows everything and (almost) everyone and helps you with your next trips somewhere else in Tanzania. And you can talk (and joke) with him about any issue.

We were hiking with Samwel for three days in the Usambara Mountains and we had an amazing time together in the nature. He told us many interesting Story’s about the traditional villages and about the live style of the people who live in the mountains. Also we could learn a lot about different plants and animals and how to use the plants as medicine. It was easy to connect with him, we had a lot of fun together and could talk about all kind of different topics:) We could really enjoy and felt save because he was caring a lot about us and tried to create a trip wich fits perfectly for us! Best Greetings to Samwel we can recommend him a lot 🌵🌱🌺🦎🐒🥾

When booking through Halisi African Adventures, I felt very supported by Brighton and he answered the many emails I sent with questions.
I was also fortunate to meet him when I arrived in Tanzania.
All of the hotels were clean and nice and provided mosquito netting, which gave me peace of mind (I don't think we actually needed it but we still used it.
Foods was very good and delicious,
Our guide was friendly and always willing to answer any questions we had duringthehiking, and stop whenever we wanted to take a photos.
We did 3 days Usambara hiking and everything was well organized and our gude was professional and knowledgeable my husband and I were impressed with his kindness. He surprised us by pulling over and treating us to red bananas since we had never seen them before. Delicious!
We felt well taken care of throughout the entire hikes.
