This is a great place to go back into historical times. A time to revisit history of the civil war. In 1864 Federal Forces took control of Tunnel Hill making this their first move toward Atlanta. Just one of the fascinating stories to be told...More

It seems to us, my wife and, that many are trying to alter history and push the Civil War into a corner as a subject not to be discussed. That will not work, regardless of the cause or causes, what your convictions are, or what...More

Wonderful staff, way worth traveling to! Great bang for your buck, especially if you love learning history hands on. I especially loved the old love letters they had in the museum section!

I went here with my girlfriend. We got delayed by a pretty substantial thunderstorm, but after it passed we were able to take the tour. Our tour guide was an older gentleman who was very friendly and had a lot of knowledge of the history...More

Also look at reviews for "Historic Western & Atlantic Railroad Tunnel," which is part of the same place. They have two tours listed where you pay, or you can get both tours for a discount. The problem is that there is more listed than what...More

A lot of history at this location. Well kept old home where both General Hood and General Sherman stayed, at different times of course. The old tunnel through the hill is interesting. The folks there are really nice and cordial.
