If you like history and war then this place is your mecca. The folks that run this museum really care about recording the history of the units that trained at Camp Toccoa. They are always willing to answer questions and help you get the most out of your visit. One of the things I enjoyed the most was the horse... More

While staying in Taccoa, it was recommended that we visit the museum. We were greeted upon entrance and received a personalized tour of the museum. Tremendous amount of work went into this museum. If you are in North Georgia, it is definitely worth your time to visit.

We love history and visit museums on every trip. This one is steeped with authentic items right up to the WWII stables (relocated to GA and rebuilt IN the depot). It will take a true history lover a while to get through the entire museum but so well worth it.

This museum is a must see. I was surprised of the amount of exhibits, personal family items and pictures. The history and sacrifices on display, made you proud to be an American! Fine examples of the Greatest Generation. They had smaller displays for every American war and conflict. Best 10.00 bucks I've spent in years! I will be back!!

The Currahee Military Museum is located in the old depot and is part of the Stephens County Historical Museum. The museum is amazing....well organized, exhibits nicely displayed with explanations easily read. This museum tells the story of the trainees who became some of the most physically fit soldiers in the Army. More than 18,000 paratroopers trained at Camp Toccoa prior... More
