Stone Mountain Park is a bit amusement park, a bit historical. We stuck to the historical part. The museum is very interesting, well worth the $12 admission. Confederate history is still a part of American history and should be retained. The exhibits are informative and thorough. We were there at the wrong time of year to take the gondola up... More

I hiked walk up trail and took cable car on the way back down. The hike was decent but overcrowded as I went on Saturday and also it's just a ~1 mile hike one way. You can hike other trails around the stone mountain though. Go read about mountain history in a scientific perspective at confederate hall. Good place to... More

This is my go to place for exercise. We have been experiencing some nice weather lately. Every time the weather gets above 55 degrees, I do my best to walk up the mountain...if it doesn't rain. :)

Not much to see and do. Sing along train ride was advertised as scenic, but there was nothing to see, really. The gondola was closed so we were not able to go up the granite stone mountain. There was a man made snow for the snow tubing park. The carving on the stone was cool though. The 4D movie was... More

This was our second trip to Snow Mountain. We stayed at the Stone Mountain Inn which was a great decision. We just walked over each day. I took the advice of another reviewer and did not reserve our times because we were going to do that when we arrived (watching the weather). Unfortunately, the weekend before, they had close the... We go every year to snow mountain for fun in the snow. This year they had double tubing which was new. Get the annual gold mountain pass for the best deal.

Great place for outdoor lovers, family, history enthusiasts, families, and more. There is something for everyone. We have in at every season, but I highly recommend spring and Christmas. We could go several times a year!

Very hot in the summer. Bring sunscreen, hats and wear light clothes. This park offers great attractions for kids all ages. If you are nearby the zone don't miss out on this park. They also offer a lasershow and firework show every night right in the mountain... outstanding!!!
