While Stone Mountain was impressive and fascinating, the carving was disappointing - in contrast to the size of the mountain - and hard to see any details. While the artistic work may have been outstanding, the choice of subjects was depressing, idolizing men who promoted...More

This carving is amazing! It is huge! We didn't get to see the laser show, was canceled due to weather. But they did shoot off fireworks. Climb to the top if you can.

We were staying at the Evergreen resort in the park and decided to take a run by the carving. We took a few pictures walked around a little bit including the gift shop and took the long way around the property back to the hotel....More

The Stone Mountain Park is well worth seeing. The park is very clean and the staff friendly. Make sure you ride the trolley to the top of the mountain, the view is amazing. Highly recommend.

Whether you agree or disagree with the content of the carving, take a moment to gaze at it's awe inspiring size and beauty! One of the largest stone carvings in the US, this is worth seeing at least once.

Stone mountain was full of history with lots of fun things to do. It was primarily an outdoor adventure of us. We look forward to go back

It was just ok. I enjoyed the lawn, laser show, and fireworks on the 4th of July week. There is some interesting history plaques around the lawn on each Confederate State.

The history behind the stone carving so cool. Lots of dedicated time went into this detailed carving. Worth the drive!

We wanted to see the carving while we were in town. Something for everybody here. The train was ok, but the skyride is a must. Try to get on first and get next to window for best view of carving. The top views are amazing.

The park entrance fee and parking fee are the same. You pay to enter the park. I believe it is $10ish (maybe less) per vehicle. Once you are inside all attraction fees are separate and extra.

I believe the entire complex is called memorial park and it is free with park admission. The best place to watch is on the big lawn right in front of the carving. Bring a blanket or lawn chair though
