The carving can be seen before you enter the actual park but after you pay the parking fee. It was an awesome sight to see. My family actually got really excited once we saw the infamous carving.

A stunning sculpture by Gutzon Borglum the same sculptor as Mount Rushmore. From the ground the actual size is quite deceiving. If you take the tram to the top of the mountain the actual size of the is breathtaking

You have to pay to get into the park to view the carving I think it's 15 for the day and 40 for the year. On weekends there are lights and events at night not sure about week days if they use spot lights on the sculpture so... More

it is $8 one way or $12 round trip. keep in mind you have many oportunities to spend money. you have to pay $15 to get on the park, tickets to the attractions are available, gift shop. food, etc. If you just want to see the... More
