Walked to the pier after dinner one night while on vacation. It's interesting to watch the fishermen and fun to see why they catch. He pier itself is quite long and the view to the water is beautiful and serene.

We went everyday we were in Saint Simons and was surprised as to the friendly atmosphere we encountered. Getting to see a large freighter come within 200 yards and blow it's horn at us was a memorable moment.

It is always nice to walk to the end of a pier to see the views and feel the breezes. We also like to watch the fisherman to see what they are catching.

We walked out on the pier twice. It is sturdy, populated with lots of fisher persons and birds and has a very nice view of the water. It is worth going out on at least once if you are near the Pier shopping village.

I took a seat on the pier while the wife shopped nearby. Was fun and brought back many memories watching local folks dropping crab traps baited with trash fish for blue crab (Callinectes sapidus). They were pretty successful altho the crabs were pretty small. Gumbo on the way!

Fishers, walkers, Pelicans and nice views all around. Just a nice thing to do when strolling around the streets, beach and lighthouse area.

We really enjoyed visiting the pier. There is no cost to walk on the pier. It is a wonderful place to view the sunset. We didn't fish but enjoyed talking to the local fishermen. They certainly had some stories to tell! At night there was a band playing and just a nice atmosphere overall. It was family friendly with a... More

My dogs and I like to start the morning by walking to Parkers Service Station for coffee and then carrying the cup down to the pier. We don't go out onto the pier but select a bench and drink our coffee and watch the activity on the pier. It is a great spot for watching the ocean, the ships and... More
