My wife and I toured the GWTH collection and were very pleased with the layout and depth of the collection. This is a must see if you are a Gone With The Win fan.

For the price of admission this place was small but interesting. There are replicas of costumes and actual costumes and props from the movie. There are also many variations of Margaret Mitchell's book Gone with the Wind.

I was on vacation in Marietta Georgia and heard about this museum. I love gone with the wind so it was a must for me to come Andy investigate.. most of the museum is pictures letters and autographs of those associated with the movie.. a lot of Margaret Mitchell. They did have a couple of authentic costumes.. I wasn't blown... More

For one of the greatest films every made, this is one of saddest collections for it. A couple of original artifacts directly related to making of film historical artifacts are present, but the numerous figurines and other highly marketed items (e.g., dolls, reproductions, toys, games, etc) made well after the film are too numerous to even rate (or care about).... This museum is in a great historic downtown Marietta location. There are a few original pieces from the movie set, replicated costumes, lots of movie posters, original dedicated art pieces and then collectable items, like Barbie dolls. This "museum" is not much more than a memorabilia collection. There are souvenirs to purchase but the displays felt dusty and fixed in... More

We've just been to the GWTW museum in Marietta, GA. The museum is a private collection that contains both originals and reproductions of items from the movie and the book. You can clearly see how much the owner loves the book and the movie. With 7$ admission per adult, pricing is okay. I

I had a friend visiting me from Japan and she wanted to explore classic Southern culture from many viewpoints, including the literary and cinematic, so this museum suited that desire to a tee. Its a one-story building on the Square in Marietta. Parking can be tricky, but luckily, on this weekday morning it wasn't a problem. The museum consists of... More

You would have to be a diehard GWTW fan for this museum, as I am. I really enjoyed reading about the cast, production, and advertising for the film. Plus seeing reproductions of some of the dresses from in the movie as well as one actual film used dress and props. A must for fans of the movie.

Fairly small museum. The local history connection was the premier of the movie in Atlanta in 1939. It was pretty need to read some of the newspapers on display and the big party in Atlanta. Not too many authentic costumes or props from the movie as no one thought about collectables in those days. Displays are nice. We were the... More
