My wife and I took our six year old Granddaughter to the park today. She had a fantastic time at the playground. This is a quiet, safe, clean, well maintained (not over crowded) community park. Overall we had a very good experience. Open daily. Plenty of parking.
Park amenities include:
1-Four softball fields
2-Concession building with rest rooms
3-Batting Cages
4-Tennis Courts
5-Picnic tables with grill
6-Pavilion with picnic tables
7-Kid’s playground

Skip Wells Park is a county park on Bell's Ferry Road about a mile southeast of Exit 1 on I-575. This county park offers kid's playgrounds, tennis courts, baseball/softball fields, walking trails, bathrooms and a covered picnic pavilion. The park is several dozen acres in size, well maintained, and patrolled by Cobb County Police. Playing fields are groomed almost every day, and lit at night. I stopped by for a mid-week picnic using one of the tables, and enjoyed the peaceful setting, birds chirping and the cherry trees just starting to bloom. There were a few folks batting softballs, walking dogs and exercising while Maintenance raked and emptied trash. There is no charge to use the park. The picnic pavilion can be reserved by calling Cobb County Parks & Recreation, (770) 528-8839. The park has a bus stop near the entrance and is served by the bus which runs along Bell's Ferry Road.
