The Historic Wharf is located on Jekyll Island, this is the perfect location to see the boats traveling along the Intracoastal Waterway going to all parts of the world. This is the best location on Jekyll Island to watch the Tropical Sunset. This is also the home of Jekyll Island Boat Tours and the Wharf Restaurant. Come to the Wharf for lunch or dinner and take one of the many boat tours of the beautiful Georgia Coast where you will see much of our wildlife such as our Dolphins.

It's nice to see, but it's not like a huge boardwalk. You might need like 5 minutes and that's it. We wasn't bothered by bugs or birds. It did not smell like fish, which was good.

Georgia's barrier islands are seriously hidden gems. Most of these islands are maintained by the people who live there and they have strict rules to keep them beautiful and preserved! Jekyll Island is one of those places. You'll see actual natural beach habitat including maritime...More

The no-see-ums or Sand Gnats come out when the sunshine is intense or strong and at wind speeds of 3.5 mph or more Sand Gnats stop flying so staying in the open is the best deterrent when the wind is calm. The very best repellent...More

The Latitude 31 restaurant has been sold and purchased by the Jekyll Island Club Hotel. The Wharf walkways and docks are owned by Jekyll Island Dolphin Tours and are open for business.

Very sad to report that the lattitude and rah bar restaurant are closed. Wharf is still a beautiful place to see sunsets, watch the water and some boats. Historic district a lovely place to visit, highly recommended. Hope wharf restaurants reopen soon.
