A decent park with green space, ball field and an ok parking lot. It was clean and there were plenty of trails and good views.

A group of us took a little time to take a quiet walk along the river to appreciate this humble tribute to our veterans and their sacrifices in our conflicts. Walk slowly along the inscribed paver bricks of these conflicts, those that served, that support their memory and the organizations involved. Sit on a marble bench reflect, read the marble... More

Great walking trails, memorial bricks and river view. You can picnic and just sit and meditate in this area

Our little town has done a great job honoring our past. Some gave all. All gave some. This little, beautiful bridge will honor so many for a very long time. Way to go Gilmer County.

I suppose this bridge is only intended for locals that live in the neighborhood or near by. There is no place to park, at least not on the side that we were on. Only signs EVERYWHERE that said "by order of the sheriff, no parking". In addition, there were no parking signs all along the road. Not very visitor friendly.... More

This memorial for veterans so proudly displays the appreciation for their service. We live here and have attended ceremonies and are in awe of the folks that make, maintain and preserve our fallen heroes. Quite a tribute for a small town.

Yes there is a bridge across the river, but the nicest thing about this is the overall memorial to veterans. Very unique, and surprising in a rather small town.

The Veteran’s Memorial Bridge itself is not the attraction. The attraction is the complete memorial of which the bridge is part. It is a pedestrian bridge which crosses the Coosawattee River connecting additional parking and soccer fields to a larger city park. However, it is an attractive bridge with plenty of lighting for those evening strolls. This is a nice... More

We have walked across this bridge the last two years going to the apple festival because the parking is better in the lot across the river. this is a nice memorial, not the same old stone many communities have. great park and walking trails along the river. Very nice area.

I was walking the river walk with someone and we crossed the bridge because we have never done it. It's beautiful. The best part is the memorial to all who served from the Revolution War to Afghanistan. It has all branches of the services represented. Also search and rescue dogs as well as much more. There is plenty of parking... More
