We have eaten there several times - the food is good. Pretty basic place - way less than average restaurant, but pretty common for a BBQ place. Service is ok.

first time we visited we fell into this shill of nonsense about buying a cut out pig figure with our name on it to be placed at the site on top of the hill. 5.00 and the kid loved it. they never made it, or...More

I have eaten here for good. What I am writing is the pig hill. It's an attraction people from all over know about. A lot of people know about it and have their own pig there. Ask for yours. It's very inexpensive. We ran into...More

I say "Great" BBQ since it is the type I like best. Somewhat a vinegar base to give it a tangy and lively taste. It's a must to get your name on the hill.

I live in Ellijay and have eaten at Poole's many times. The food is good and the atmosphere down home country. The pig hill of fame is a great gimmick to get travelers in the place and was a genius marketing ploy by the original...More

Pooles bbq has the best Brunswick stew around. I like the bbq but I'm not crazy about their bbq sauce. The service is very good and the price is reasonable. Open Wednesday-Sunday

Que certainly is a local thing wherever you go. It is the most different cuisine everywhere and everywhere is different from the last and will certainly be different from the next. Sauce, no sauce, chopped, pulled or sliced. I have just come to the conclusion...More
