Primarily a nature reserve that we visited for birdwatching and were not disappointed even though it was mid afternoon. Excellent tower that makes viewing over the lake very easy. Many of the more interesting birds are in the distance, so binoculars are needed and ideally...More

We found out about this nature park after staying in a nearby town. As we have a camper van, they said we could stay overnight in the extra parking car park as it wasn't very busy yet. It was that good here that we actually...More

We started with a snack on the terass outside where the kids could run around and look into the pond for salamanders. After the snack we went inside. We could have stayed inside for several hours! The kids used the binoculars observing the wild life...More

The movie in the nature center is well worth watching; ask for it in English is helpful. The preserve provides great views, comfortable walks, and interactive activities for kids. All nature lovers will enjoy this bird sanctuary. There are fun souvenirs to be had.

This site gives a very good view of the lake and it's rich bird life. There is an observation tower and walking paths. The exhibit is interesting and educational.

Walk the trails and visit the exhibition and wonder by the marvelous building clad in reed. A bird watchers Mecca. A hostel nearby offers great lunch and accommodation.

We didn't watch the birds or went into the building itself but I guess that is quite nice as well. We planned this as a side trip on a long road trip with two small children. It's just about 10 min from the highway. They...More

Regardless if you are interested in birds or not; visit Tåkarn. Amazing and very nicely build place. Opened in 2012 by our king. See the 15 minutes film describing the history and current fauna. A must
