There was a variety of exhibits with activities, from digging for dinosaur bones to panning for gold nuggets to experimenting with magnets. One area was all about weather. We really enjoyed our time. There is also a planetarium, with several different shows. We went to the one about a solar eclipse and it was very good.

This place is great especially if you have children! Son much to see and do in here and can keep the kids busy for hours. We spent almost 3-4hrs in here and I feel like we still didn't get a chance to see it all. Love the automobile room and the kids loved the dinosaurs.

The museum is a kind of morphed hodge podge of things. It has a lot of rocks- that are very cool, and one could learn something there. In there is what I think is the best part, a giant, lit periodic table with items that contain that element in it. - another section has a 'transportation' or engineering component that... More

Thank you for visiting Tellus Science Museum. We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the Weinman Mineral Gallery. We also appreciate the feedback regarding our hands-on interactive gallery. While it is our goal to ensure that all exhibits are in working order, we will be sure to inspect again to see if there are exhibits in this gallery that... More

This museum has a lot to offer. There are many exhibits that require a great deal of time to fully explore. I wasn't expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised.

This museum offers over 125,000 square feet of exhibits and is open 7 days a week from 10-5 (except holidays). Be sure to check their webpage for info on the special exhibits and activities. I think it's one of the nicest museums we have ever been to. I'm not a rock hound but I really loved the minerals exhibits (I... More

Primarily, we went to see the exhibit on loan from the Smithsonian of artifacts excavated during the early 20th Century from the Etowah Indian Mounds near Cartersville. This relatively small exhibit provides a wealth of information about the very early inhabitants of Georgia and shows evidence of their contact with distant peoples ranging from the Gulf coast to the present... Thank you for taking the time to check out the temporary exhibit From Clay to Copper. It's such a special exhibit for our region with wonderful history about the native people. We are lucky to have it back in Cartersville for a brief time. Also, thank you for visiting the museum and rating us with 5 dots! More

My kids said this was the BEST museum they'd ever been to! They were amazed by the amount of dinosaur artifacts. Definitely worth the price of admission!

This 120,000-square foot museum offers an observatory, amazing mineral and fossil collection (my favorite) and a great exhibit on flight and automobile history. You can easily spend a couple of hours here or a full day.
