Last year I got married in Blue Ridge, GA in the Toccoa River. Yes, I said in the river. The water level was low due to the severe drought that we found ourselves in the river on a heart shaped rock, which if the water was higher, many would never see. After getting married we went to Lilly Pad Village... More

We have taken our grandchildren to mining places before and this was the greatest adventure for them yet! Mainly because they found a lot of gems in their bucket. They also give a discount to veterans and military.

We have been to Lilly Pad Village each time we go to the mountains in GA. Friendly and great people. Our 3 yr old enjoys finding gem stones and shinning them. Helpful staff and a great pup too (Lucy).

We were staying in a cabin where you turn at The Lilly Pad Village. Rode by several times without stopping but on the last day decided to stop. Wish we would have stopped sooner. My daughter enjoyed fishing but didn't like that you had to release it. The mining was the best. The golf area needs some attention. Kids would... More

Our littles (3 & 4 year olds) lost interest in about 5 minutes so Daddy and I finished their buckets. They did, however, like their "treasures". We enjoyed it.

However, some gems were bigger than others and some buckets had more gems than others. We ended up acquiring a total of 6... More

Spending a week in the mountains for our fall break, we have been searching out area fun spots. Lily Pad Village is well worth the time. There are a variety of activities but gem mining is definitely the star. The mini golf course needs some tlc, and the fishing pond is catch and release only. The staff is knowledgeable and... More
