Visited this church as part of a one day cruise ship tour. Typical look and feel of an old church, well kept up. Well manicured property with some historically significant graves. Worth a visit if you are interested in this type of history.

The Saint John's Parish Church is a great place to learn some important history behind Barbados. A lot of the famous leaders, etc., are buried. The Church is I believe one of the oldest and has been rebuilt twice. It was very rewarding to hear about the history of this great country. This is a must do for anyone visiting... More

We stopped there before we went to Codrington College, so if you're in the Parish of St.John, then it's definitely worth a visit. It is rich in history and there are also benches to enjoy the panoramic views of the east coast. For those on a budget, it's completely free to visit but you also have the option of leaving... More

We stopped here as part of an island tour. The church looks and seems typically English and has an extensive graveyard where a former Prime Minister of Barbados is buried. The views of the coast are stunning and there are some amazing striped snails attached to some of the toombs. Well worth a visit.

Perfect for weddings. The historical setting creates the ambience and illusion of stepping back in time. An added plus is the scenery offered in the backdrop. Not to mention there is an actual sun dial located there.

Amazing Gothic church, steeped in history dating back to 1600s, memorialised in stone, embedded in the church floors and ancient vaults. It is paradise for Brass Rubbing enthusiasts. An eclectic, eccentric array of graveyard residents captures theimagination. Breathtaking view of the eastern coast and Atlantic ocean. Every aspect commands attention!

We stopped here in the afternoon, as part of a tour. It was absolutely amazing. The church is definitely a historical wonder. The architecture of the church, the wooden furnishings, the church organ all speak old English loud and clear. I love how this church has been maintained in such great condition for over 100 years. We took a walk... More

Walking up the drive from the road fringed with sugar cane - what a setting. To the left are Atlantic breakers while the spire is shaded by old trees. Welcoming to visitors, the church has a history with many ties abroad. There is a small room which doubles as a shop with a fridge in the corner - take the... More

This church is incredibly old and is quite dark inside with beautiful dark wood , impressive altar and an upstairs balcony all around the building. You can imagine the plantation masters and mistresses sitting downstairs and the workers upstairs looking down. Very atmospheric, which I didn't feel in any of the other churches we visited
