We had a wonderful hike today. No sounds of civilization, just pure nature. We saw a lot of brushfoot, hairstreak, and swallowtail butterflies. My son is 8, he was able to complete the almost 3 mile hike with no issues. Plenty of views of the...More

We took the trail to see the rapids. It was a well maintained trail and the viewing platform to see the rapids was nice. The only recommendation I would like to make is that there should be a couple of places along the trail to...More

We bypassed the first unpaved entrance figuring there'd be a visitor center or something more at the next entrance 2.5 miles further. Right. That road started as hard-pack but quickly deteriorated into thick, soft sand. The road was not wide enough to turn around and...More

I only had a few hours to visit and wished I could have stayed longer. I hiked the Woodpecker Trail and then the trail along the Suwanee River to see the rapids. It was quiet and lovely. I saw birds, butterflies, deer and armadillo during...More

We hiked to the shoals and drove around a bit. It was well maintained. There are a variety of trail types and spots to access the river. Picnic areas and restrooms.

If you are near White Springs FL make sure you stop by this park. Hike on the well marked trails to see Florida's class 3 Rapids. Clean park, very safe feeling even though no park staff near by.
