The biggest challenge was driving to the donkey sanctuary (Google Maps took us on a road only fit for Jeeps, so we doubled back and took the paved route in our little hatchback!). Once we got there, we were given brushes and escorted to the...More

We spent an hour or two brushing the donkeys who were quite a mess following a heavy rainstorm. They were so appreciative. One even let me brush her baby, too. Wear a hat and prepare to be dusty. If you wear open sandals prepare to...More

Happy you enjoyed your visit - and we KNOW the donkeys did!

Absolutely a must. We tend to travel for our own benefit and luxury and forget to thank, in the many ways possible, the community that welcomes us in open arms. High recommended and for a good cause.

Hi - I am not a local but I got a decent map when I got my rental car - and it was also well signposted. The entrance of Sanctuary is very muddy - don't get stuck
